Chinese Medicine fertility treatment

This is a clinical case study. The patient was treated by our TCM practitioner and Acupuncturist Ilana Stein- Attali who has dedicated most of her practice for helping women to realise their dreams as mothers.

A.L. a 40 year old married woman came to Bodhi Tree last December after loosing 3 consecutive pregnancies before the 8 week mark.

She was diagnosed with spleen qi deficiency.  Her other symptoms included loose stools, trouble focusing and often feeling pressure in her head.  She worked full time at a strenuous job and had been very worried the past few months due to her grandmothers ailing health.

Patient came for Acupuncture treatments and she was also advised to shift to a mainly cooked diet emphasising the orange vegetables to tonify spleen,  to take an afternoon half hour nap, and remind herself to shift worries to wishes.  She conceived that month and gave birth to a healthy baby boy 41 weeks and 3 days later.

Chinese Medicine has long history of treating gynaecological issues including fertility treatment. Acupuncture can increase fertility by reducing stress, increasing blood flow to the reproductive organs and balancing the endocrine system, according to several studies and medical research.
